Cottage

Penygraig Cottage is a newly renovated stone cottage in a secluded, but not isolated, location 7 miles from Carmarthen in Wales' beautiful Cothi Valley. The property comprises

  • master bedroom with double bed
  • second bedroom also with double bed
  • bathroom
  • newly fitted kitchen diner
  • lounge with woodburning stove, Freeview TV, DVD player and WiFi

Two more adults can sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge, giving a total of six people in all. If you've more than six in your group, you can hire both the Cottage and the Granary together for a discounted rate, sleeping up to 14. The Cottage's four star rating from Visit Wales reflects a standard of accommodation that is "excellent throughout".

Upstairs

Both master bedroom and second bedroom are made up with luxurious egyptian cotton bedding. Each room has hanging space and a chest of drawers, and the master bedroom is big enough that it has two dressing chairs and an armchair as well. The master bedroom also has Freeview TV. The bedrooms share a landing with the bathroom.

Downstairs

The 15' by 15' lounge is made cosy and comfortable by the sofas in front of the woodburner in its inglenook fireplace. There's plenty of room for six adults to relax after a hard day walking or mountain biking (or an easy day in the pub). Watch the TV or a DVD, there's free WiFi if you've brought a laptop, and there's even a piano if you're feeling like making your own entertainment. You can listen to music through the stereo with iPod connection.

The kitchen has all the equipment you need to self cater for as long as you like. Of course there's a gas hob and an electric oven with grill, combi microwave, fridge and freezer. There's also a washing machine and a tumble drier for your muddy outdoor things. The dining table easily seats six.

Outside

Although the Cottage and Granary are on the same site, each has its own patio, with garden seating. The property together has parking for 7 to 8 cars, and for MTB enthusiasts there's safe bike storage and bike washing facilities.

Everything Else

We welcome pets but ask for a £20 surcharge per pet, and we're flexible about bookings. Maybe there are more than six of you and some don't mind sleeping on the floor. Maybe you want to book a stay that isn't exactly a week, weekend or long weekend. Contact us and we can talk about it, or about any questions or queries you have.
